Echo carries on the story of Maya Lopez, the Native American leader of the Tracksuit Mafia in Marvel’s Hawkeye series. Scheduled to be released in 2023, here’s everything you need to know about Echo.
Marvel Studios’ Echo In Production for Disney+
Maya Lopez was introduced as a character in Hawkeye, another Disney+ exclusive series. A strong, Native American heroine, Maya Lopez is one of the few deaf characters in Marvel’s comic universe. In Hawkeye, Maya Lopez was a woman on a mission of revenge, determined to bring Clint Barton (played by Jeremy Renner) to justice. In Echo, Maya Lopez’s actions from Hawkeye begin to catch up with her, forcing her to leave New York and come to terms with her actions in her hometown. Alaqua Cox (Hawkeye) continues as Maya Lopez in Echo, along with Zahn McClamon (Dark Winds) as William Lopez, playing her deceased father. The cast also includes Chaske Spencer (Wild Indian), Tantoo Cardinal (Stumptown), Devery Jacobs (American Gods), Cody Lightening (Hey, Viktor!), and Graham Greene (Goliath) in currently undisclosed roles. Marvel Studios’ Echo is in production and scheduled for an exclusive streaming release on Disney+ in 2023.
