The new Dell Latitude 7000 series has a 12, 13, 14 inch laptop that is directly targeted at professionals and corporate employees. They feature TPM, NFC, Intel vPrp processors, smart card readers and hardware as well as software encryption to delight any IT whiz. They are also rugged, complying with something called the MIL-STD 810G standard. The Latitude 7000 series laptops have top covers made of carbon fibre, like the XPS range they are based on. The Latitude 7000 series will use three cell batteries that should be good for seven to eight hours depending on the version. The Latitude 7000 series ultra books use the latest Intel Haswell processors. As usual with any Dell machines, there are many customization options available. Either size of the laptop can be upgraded to a fully touch screen Gorilla Glass 3 display and the 14 inch version has a 1080p, matte finish panel too – this isn’t touch capable though. The Latitude 7000 is a great laptop for any professional thanks to its great performance and battery life – but most importantly due to how secure one can make information on it.
