The company had tweeted from the official PlayStation account on Moday, “PS Plus members: Call of Duty: WWII is part of the monthly games line up for June, and will be available for download starting May 26. We’ll share additional details of our monthly line up later this week.” Usually, Sony releases the new Free PS Plus games on first Tuesday of the month. However, it has made exception with the June 2020 free line up as it announced CoD: WWII free download a week in advance. Notably, the company is likely to release more free games, besides CoD: WWII, for the next month on the upcoming Tuesday. PlayStation owners pay a subscription fee every month. Sony traditionally gives away at least one major title for free every month. It usually announces two free games at the end of each month and then slashes their price to $0 on the first Tuesday of subsequent month. However, not all these free games have been quite a reward for most players like the latest Call of Duty: WWII title. Call of Duty takes players back into the world of Second World War. Its description on the PlayStation Game Store reads, “Call of Duty® returns to its roots with Call of Duty®: WWII – a breath taking experience that redefines World War II for a new gaming generation.”

It further adds that the game offers the classic CoD combat experience, as well as introduces players to the camaraderie bonds and the unforgiving nature of war. The game offers three game modes including Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies. Two of the major highlights of its gaming experience have been the objective-based War mode mission, ‘Operation Intercept’ and the Nazi Zombies chapter, ‘The Darkest Shore’. While Sony has already made Call of Duty: WWII available for free starting from today itself; the second freebie for June 2020 is most likely to be released on June 6. However, the company hasn’t yet announced the name of its next free PS Plus game. Some leaks have suggested that the company may give away one of its most popular exclusives, Marvel’s Spider-Man from Insomniac Games. However, given the track record of May free games against the predictions, it seems unlikely that June 2020 will hold such an exciting bundle of PS Plus Freebies.
